CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />RPP NO.: 21-059 <br />WATER WELL, PUMP AND MOTOR REHABILITATION AND REPAIR SERVICES <br />Records <br />1. The Contractor shall keep accurate records of the pumping test of the well and furnish copies of all <br />records to the City upon completion of the test. The records shall also be available to the City for <br />inspection at any time during the test. The records shall include physical data describing the <br />construction features such as, but not limited to: <br />i. Well depth and diameter <br />ii. Complete screen description <br />it!. Length and setting <br />iv. A description of the measuring point and its measured height above land surface and/or mean <br />sea level <br />V. The methods used in measuring water levels and pumping rates <br />2. The Contractor shall also keep records on the type of pumping equipment used at the well site <br />including engines, drive components, bowls, lines, and shafts. The Contractor will keep records of <br />operation of equipment during the test including engine rpm and horsepower, fuel use, and other <br />essential information that will be useful in designing a pump system. <br />10. MACHINE WORK <br />Upon request, the Contractor shall provide machine work services. Machine work shall apply to, but not be <br />limited to, the drilling and tapping of broken bolts, customized (1) - 2" coupling at the base of the discharge <br />head, the repairing of damaged locking rings and stators, the replacing of power cords, power cord <br />assemblies and power cord connectors and repairs to impellers, covers, volutes, mounting rails, bearing <br />journals, discharge heads, and pump shafts, <br />11. DOCUMENTATION <br />All rehabilitations, repairs, and installations shall be supplemented with reports and documentation that <br />provides accurate details about the new Installation or repairs (including a pump and motor schematics and <br />pump performance Curves). Within ten (10) business days of completing a full rehabilitation, the Contractor <br />shall provide these documents to the City for review. All new pump and motor installations shall come with <br />plaques that maintain up-to-date and accurate information regarding the performance and capacity of the <br />units. <br />Documentation shall include, but is not limited to, the following: <br />a. Pre -Disassembly Testing report for all activities as described. <br />b. Photo documentation of existing condition prior to fulfilling each described criteria of the disassembly <br />test. <br />c. Motor Disassembly report, including photo documentation before and after cleaning. <br />d. Motor Inspection report, including stator core loss testing results. Photo documentation of coils, windings <br />and conductors showing any signs of excessive wear or failure. <br />e. Mechanical fit measurements shall be recorded as specified. Photo documentation shall be submitted <br />for all replaced bearings, grease fittings, plugs, etc. <br />f, Rotor balancing report as specified. <br />g. Insulation report as specified above. Before and after photo documentation of the windings prior to <br />varnishing and baking, <br />h. Final test report as specified. <br />i. Pump Reconditioning report as specified. <br />j. Pump curve and pump/motor schematic. <br />
