<br />This task includes managing contractor submittal review, answering requests for information, and issuing
<br />work directives. A full-time engineering construction observer will be on site for the duration of the project.
<br />Construction observer duties include documenting of pre -construction conditions, daily construction diary,
<br />preparing change orders, addressing questions of contractors on site, reviewing/updating project schedule,
<br />reviewing contractor log submittals and pay requests, forecasting cash flow, notifying contractor if work is not
<br />acceptable. Upon completing the project, the DWR Certificate of Project Completion and record drawings will
<br />be provided to DWR.

<br />Construction activities are outlined below
<br />11(a): Mobilization will include preparatory work and operations including, but not limited to, those necessary
<br />for the movement of personnel, equipment, supplies and incidentals to the project site. Mobilization shall
<br />additionally include the establishment of any temporary facilities, utilities, construction fencing and barricades,
<br />and the provision and installation of construction signage.
<br />11(b): Site preparation will include clearing and grubbing, unclassified excavation, removing and disposing of
<br />existing concrete, trees, chain -link fencing, and walls, implementing stormwater BMPs in accordance with the
<br />approved Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), and rough grading.
<br />11(c): Site development will include construction of the 1,600-square-foot bioretention basin including
<br />excavation, backfill with gravel and engineered soil, and the installation of mulch and landscaping; and
<br />construction of the Stormchamber system, including the pre-treatment forebay, excavation, backfill with
<br />gravel, installation of the Stormchamber system, and maintenance cleanout, inlet pipe connection and
<br />compaction. Site development also will include construction of the concrete perimeter wall, drinking water
<br />fountains, paving, hardscape, and pathways; and installing waste receptacles, utilities, site drainage, and
<br />lighting. Off -site improvements will include the construction of a cross -gutter, parkway culverts, new curb and
<br />gutter, sidewalk, and paving.
<br />Landscaping/signage will include soil preparation and weed abatement, fine grading, planting, and installation
<br />of cobblestone, boulders, the irrigation system, project acknowledgment signage, interpretive signage, and
<br />site furnishings.
