4.2.2 Section Reserved <br />4.2.3 Residential Curbside Service Unit Recyclable Materials Collection <br />Contractor shall provide all Residential Curbside Service Unit Customers receiving Cart <br />Refuse Collection with a 96-gallon Cart for Collection of Recyclable Materials. <br />Customers needing smaller Containers may request 64-gallon or 35-gallon Recycling <br />Carts. Additional Recycling Carts may be requested for a monthly fee per Cart in <br />accordance with the approved rate schedule. <br />Recyclable Material Collection from Cart Customers within the City shall be a <br />minimum of once each week, on the same day as Refuse Collection, and from the same <br />set -out location as Refuse Containers. Contractor is responsible for moving all <br />Recycling Carts as necessary for Collection, and then returning them to their original <br />location. At a minimum, Recyclable Material Collected from Cart Customers shall <br />include, but not be limited to: glass, tin, aluminum, PET, HDPE, narrow neck plastics, <br />newspaper, mixed paper (including junk mail, phone books, and magazines), <br />cardboard, and any additional materials that can be recovered and Recycled. <br />Contractor and the City may meet and confer from time to time to re-evaluate this <br />Recyclable Material list and to consider any amendments to it, based upon new or <br />enhanced recycling technologies. Contractor shall ensure that all public education and <br />outreach is updated to reflect materials that may be placed in Recyclable Materials <br />Containers as they change during the term of this Agreement. <br />4.2.4 Residential Curbside Service Unit Organic Materials Collection <br />Contractor shall provide a Residential Curbside Unit Organics Collection program <br />sufficient to enable City and Customers to meet or exceed the requirements of SB 1383 <br />as of the start of Collection services under this Agreement. Contractor is required to <br />implement a program to Divert Residential Food Waste from Residential Curbside <br />Service Unit Customers, which is co -collected with Yard Waste. <br />Contractor shall provide weekly Collection of Organic Materials on the same day as <br />Refuse Collection from the same set -out location as Refuse Carts. Contractor shall <br />Collect Organic Materials placed in Contractor -provided Carts. The standard Organics <br />Cart size is 96 gallons but customers may request a 64-gallon or 35-gallon Cart. <br />Additional Organics Carts may be requested for a monthly fee per Cart in accordance <br />with the approved rate schedule. <br />August 17, 2021 41 City of Santa Ana <br />
