Execution of an agreement between the City and successful firm(s) <br />and/or individual(s) does not guarantee work throughout the duration of the contract period. <br />Numerous factors will be evaluated by the City in its delivery of project and assignments, <br />including technical expertise required. <br /> <br />A. Main Objective: <br />1) Contract an unarmed security guard service company for the entire area of <br />Downtown Santa Ana (DTSA) with the potential of providing security guard <br />services to the four parking structures and one surface parking lot within DTSA. <br />Refer to the diagram above for the boundaries of Downtown Santa Ana including <br />the city-owned parking structures and surface parking lot. <br /> <br />2) Contracted security services will include guard services 365 days per year with a <br />range of 40-100 hours per week, contigent upon available funds and need. In <br />general one guard per shift with the potential of increasing to two guards during <br />peak times, upon the discretion of the City. <br /> <br />3) The schedule below is a best estimate of service level needs, but selected <br />contractor should be prepared to provide on-call security guards as needed by <br />the City or reduce service levels as determined at the City’s sole discretion. <br />EXHIBIT 1 <br />City Council 16 –27 11/16/2021
