RESOLUTION NO. 2021-XXX <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br />ANA AUTHORIZING THE GRANT APPLICATION, ACCEPTANCE, <br />AND EXECUTION FOR THE FLOWER STREET WELL PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to implement the Flower Street Well <br />Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has the legal authority and is authorized to enter into a funding <br />agreement with the State of California; and <br />WHEREAS, the City intends to apply for grant funding for the Flower Street Well <br />Project from the California Department of Water Resources 2021 Urban and Multibenefit <br />Drought Relief Grant Program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana as follows: <br />Section 1. Pursuant and subject to all of the terms and provisions of the Budget <br />Act of 2021 (Stats. 2021, ch. 240, section 80), the Executive Director of Public Works, or <br />his or her designee, is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and file an application <br />for funding for the Flower Street Well Project with the Department of Water Resources, <br />and take such other actions necessary or appropriate to obtain grant funding. <br />Section 2. The Executive Director of Public Works, or his or her designee, is <br />hereby authorized and directed to execute the funding agreement with the Department of <br />Water Resources and any amendments thereto. <br />Section 3. The Executive Director of Public Works, or his or her designee, is <br />hereby authorized and directed to submit any required documents, invoices, and reports <br />required to obtain grant funding. <br />Section 4.
