The system takes highly treated <br /> wastewater that would have previously been discharged into the Pacific Ocean and <br /> purifies it. A three-step advanced treatment process is utilized. This process consists of <br /> microfiltration, reverse osmosis and the application of ultraviolet light with hydrogen <br /> peroxide.
