She <br />also has experience working on projects which have implemented <br />active transportation concept elements, such as bike boulevards <br />and complete streets planning and design. Ms. Sujata is adept in a <br />range of software including AutoCAD, MicroStation, Synchro, and <br />Traffix. Her versatility and expertise can be seen on a wide variety of <br />transportation projects. Ms. Sujata is registered as a Civil Engineer in <br />the State of California. <br />Relevant Experience <br />North San Fernando Valley BRT Corridor, Los Angeles, CA <br />IBI Group was tasked to complete an alternatives analysis and to environmentally <br />clear a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project in the North San Fernando Valley (NSFV) <br />pursuant to California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) guidelines. The goal of the <br />project is to provide premium, high capacity, east -west BRT service in the Valley that <br />will connect key activity centers, ease traffic congestion, improve regional transit <br />connectivity, promote transit -oriented communities (TOC) and meet the growing <br />demand for transit services in the area. Ms. Sujata is currently working on the <br />alternatives analysis, traffic analysis, and conceptual design of the BRT corridor. <br />TRIP Centennial Corridor, Bakersfield, CA <br />This project will construct a new alignment to connect State Route 58 to Interstate <br />5 freeway in Bakersfield, CA. The Thomas Roads Improvement Program (TRIP) is <br />interested in utilizing the remnant parcels of land along both sides of the freeway to <br />create a Class I multi -use path. Ms. Sujata worked on various aspects and stages of <br />this project, starting with the Centennial Corridor Pedestrian and Bicycle Path Planning <br />and Feasibility Study to identify the best route for the proposed bicycle path. Ms. <br />Sujata then assisted in the creation of the bike path plan and profile sheets. She also <br />worked on preparing local street improvement plans, which involved an extensive <br />redesign of street profiles, sidewalks, signing and striping, and ADA curb ramps. <br />CRA/LA Figueroa Streetscape, Los Angeles, CA <br />This project proposed the recreation of streetscape along Figueroa Street in Los <br />Angeles between the Financial District/Staples Center and Exposition Park/USC <br />with extensive restriping and resigning to better serve the mix of pedestrians, <br />bicycles, vehicles, transit and businesses that utilize the corridor. Primary project <br />elements included a separated and protected bike lane, pedestrian improvements, <br />and streetscape improvement.
