Transit Hub. In 1985, the Santa Ana Regional Transportation Center (SARTC) was erected on the site of the former <br />Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway depot that was built in 1933 and closed in 1992. The SARTC now serves as <br />the hub of Amtrak's Pacific Surfiiner and Metrolink's Orange County lines, and shares use of the railroad with the <br />Burlington -Northern Santa Fe and Union Pacific, which serve the city's industrial sector. Santa Ana continues to lead <br />the rail revolution —most importantly, the planned OC Streetcar, set to begin operations in 2022/23. • <br />
