Lastly, on the Mobility Element, Implementation Action 1.2 amended to <br />read "Coordinate with external agencies to ensure the OCTA Master Plan <br />of Arterial Highways accommodates current and future demand for all <br />users while prioritizing the safety of people utilizing non -automobile <br />modes of transportation." <br />5. In the Open Space Element on page OS-1 should state, "Identify, <br />preserve and add open space areas." <br />6. In regards to ratio of parkland, Policy OS-1.3 as well as Implementation <br />Action 1.6 on page OS-17 revised to three acres of parkland per 1000 <br />residents. <br />7. On the Safety Element the timeframe for Implementation Action 2.4 <br />should be amended to ongoing. <br />8. Also Implementation Action 2.5 should also have its timeframe changed <br />to ongoing. <br />9. Discuss and Consider Directing City Manager to Direct Staff to Explore Options to <br />Implement a Campaign Against Crime — Councilmember Mendoza <br />MINUTES: Councilmember Mendoza asked for support to direct staff to research <br />and analyze ways to be more assertive in combating increasing crime rate. <br />Councilmember Hernandez supports a public/mental health campaign. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Bacerra supports Police Department to work with community. <br />Councilmember Phan not supportive of item. <br />Councilmember Penaloza expressed support of Councilmember Hernandez's <br />campaign.
