PROGRAM SCHEDULES <br />InterCoast conducts classes throughout the year. These classes consist of structured modules, courses, or sections of <br />instruction. Subject matter is based on strong educational principles to assure that education standards are maintained. <br />The design is flexible toprovide for the integration of new materials and techniques as they are developed. Some classes <br />may be offered online. Class schedules are printed on the Enrollment Agreement. Break schedules are posted in the <br />classroom. <br />The institution's system of scheduling modules allows participants to commence training at the beginning of each module, <br />term, or course of training. Accommodations are <br />provided onan individualized, as -needed basis, determined through appropriate documentation of need. At each location, <br />the Campus President is designated as the College's Section 504 Coordinator and is responsible for developing an <br />Accommodations Plan for all students who have are determined to be eligible for accommodations. All discussions will <br />remain confidential. Accommodations are not provided retroactively so it is required that prospective students discuss <br />needs upon enrollment into the program. <br />In accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), InterCoast Colleges <br />does not exclude handicapped individuals from participation in the programs offered by the college, solely by reason of <br />the handicap. All students must meet all admissions requirements and have the ability to work in the field, based on the <br />job duties for which the student is trained. A student is eligible for consideration for accommodations and/or auxiliary <br />aids and services if the student has a documented disability and the Campus President has consulted with the student <br />and determined that the functional limitations of the disability require such accommodation, auxiliary aids and/or <br />services. InterCoast is committed to providing reasonable accommodations including auxiliary aids and/or services to <br />qualified individuals with a disability, unless providing such accommodations would result in undue burden to the <br />institution orfundamentally alter the nature of the relevant program, benefit,orservice provided by the institution, taking <br />into account the job requirements of the field of study and/or potential barriers to graduate employment. To request <br />auxiliary aid or service, prospective students should contactthe Campus President and provide supporting documentation <br />as soon as practical. The Campus President will rendera decision within 10 days. Appeals are <br />heard according tothe Appeals Process defined in this Catalog. <br />HOLIDAYSCHEDULE <br />Online courses are offered continuously regardless of holidays. InterCoast will follow the federal holiday schedule for on - <br />campus instruction. InterCoast Colleges will not offer instruction on the following days/holidays: <br />New Year's Day Martin Luther King Day President's Day Memorial Day Independence Day <br />Juneteenth Labor Day Veterans Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day <br />Holidays of all religious beliefs are respected and allowed. Students will not be charged for breaks longer than five school <br />days. The school may close up to three days per year for Faculty and Staff In -Service Training.
