CREDIT/NO CREDIT <br />The credit/no credit grade is issued for Externship and Clinical Internship coursework and for courses for which credit for <br />previous training was granted. Students may not petition for a Credit/No Credit grade in any other courses/modules. <br />Students earning 70% or better will receive credit in a Credit/No Credit courses. <br />INCOMPLETE <br />At the end of the module or course, if a student is unable to complete the requiredwork, assignments, and/or assessments <br />due to extenuating circumstances, the student may request a grade of an Incomplete from the instructor to be allowed <br />to complete their academicwork. Once issued to the student, the grade of Incomplete is given for a maximum of 30 days. <br />At the end of the 30-day period, the student may request an extension from the instructor based on extenuating <br />circumstances. If the extension is not requested and approved, the grade will be calculated according to work submitted. <br />FAILURE <br />A grade of F (Failure) is counted as hours attempted but not achieved and has a 0.00 value toward the grade point average <br />(GPA). Astudent earning an F grade must repeat a non -prerequisite module and/or work satisfactorily prior to graduation. <br />A fee may be charged for repeating a failed course. VA students will not have a repeat course fee. <br />WITHDRAWAL <br />When a student withdraws from a program, a "W" or withdrawal will be recorded on the student's transcript for the <br />course in which the student was enrolled but did not complete at the time of school termination. All withdrawn hours <br />count as attempts in evaluating pace and maximum time, but not GPA. <br />REINSTATEMENT AFTER TERMINATION OR WITHDRAWAL <br />A student terminated or withdrawn from the program must submit a request for readmission or reinstatement to the <br />Campus President. The student will be informed of the President's decision within 30 days following the receipt of the <br />request. A studentwho is denied reinstatement may appeal the decision as described under "Student Appeal Procedures." <br />RE-ENTRY/RESTART POLICY <br />Any prior student who wishes to re-enter or restart at InterCoast must obtain written approval from the Campus <br />President. Credit may be given for classes successfully completed, provided that they were taken within five years from <br />the date the student is requesting to return from drop students. Students who re-enter within 180 days will resume their <br />coursework under their previous enrollment agreement. A student who has been authorized to restart may be required <br />to sign a new EnrollmentAgreement at the current tuition rate and meet with the financial aid intake coordinator to <br />complete the required forms. Any prior tuition balances must be paid in full before the re -enrollment or re -start will be <br />processed unless other financial arrangements have been made by the Campus President. Students will incur additional <br />charges for repeating modules. All re-entries/restarts are processed in accordance with all regulations, including financial <br />aid, if applicable. <br />Student attendance and grade point average are cumulative overall enrollments in a single program. Students who return <br />to school with attendance below 80% and/or GPA below 2.0 from their previous enrollment(s) may be placed on <br />attendance and/or academicwarning upon their return. At the time of graduation, the student must achieve at least 80% <br />cumulative attendance and a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. <br />InterCoast Colleges School Catalog 22 1 Page <br />
