<br />Recycled Water Line Creek Crossing, Leucadia Wastewater
<br />District, (A. Project Engineer for the design of a 330-LF crossing of San
<br />Marcos Creek via horizontal directional drilling for a replacement 12"
<br />recycled waterline with fusible PVC. Project also included installation
<br />of an isolation valve via the use of a linestop and replacement of an
<br />isolation valve and installation of a blow -off on the District's Gafner
<br />Water Reclamation Facility site. Project challenges included timing
<br />construction to coincide with the closure of the Omni La Costa Golf
<br />Course and specific contract requirements to limit damage to the
<br />fairway and install replacement turf.
<br />Batiquitos Pump Station Rehabilitation, Leucadia Wastewater
<br />District, CA. Project Engineer for the preliminary and final design of
<br />the rehabilitation of 1,000-hp sewer lift station. Project included
<br />pump and valve replacement, wet well lining, station bypassing, site
<br />piping, installation of emergency bypass vaults, modifications to the
<br />existing valve vault, re -roofing, modification of the HVAC system and
<br />other miscellaneous repairs.
<br />Batiquitos Force Main Repairs, Leucadia Wastewater District,
<br />CA. Design Engineer for the replacement in place of approximately
<br />1,500 linear feet of dual 24" force main and 1,500 linear feet of 14"
<br />secondary treated wastewater transmission main. Ardurra prepared
<br />a comprehensive force main evaluation report summarizing all past
<br />studies as well as current investigations of the force mains to determine
<br />the remaining useful service life of the force mains.
<br />Paseo Vivora Pipeline Replacement, Eastern Municipal Water
<br />District, CA. Project Engineer for the design of 2,180 linear feet of 12"
<br />fusible PVC water main. Project design included multiple connections
<br />to existing facilities and associated valve packages, installation of new
<br />water services and appurtenances, and abandonment by removal
<br />of approximately 1,600 linear feet of existing overland steel pipe.
<br />Ardurra assisted the District in preliminary design to determine the
<br />most effective pipeline alignment taking into consideration easement
<br />acquisition, ease of access, and current location ofEMWD facilities.
<br />Groundwater Pilot Production Wells, City of San Diego, CA. Design
<br />Engineerfor as -needed services to design pumping and conveyance
<br />systems for groundwater production wells throughout San Diego County.
<br />The City has an aggressive program to enhance its water supply system
<br />by adding approximately 10,000 acre-feet/year of locally produced
<br />groundwater to supplement the City's water supply system. To date,
<br />the contract has included the following task orders:1) Pilot Production
<br />Wells Investigation Workshop to identify candidate projects and develop
<br />the initial scope forfuture investigation and design efforts; 2) Pilot
<br />Production Well No.1 Improvements to design upgrades to the City's
<br />San Vicente Production Well No.1 including new flow meter, pump to
<br />waste piping, and SCADA and remote communications equipment; 3)
<br />Overall Program Management- LISA (Local Investigations and Studies
<br />Assistance) Program and miscellaneous technical assistance; and 4)
<br />Design of Production Wellhead and Conveyance Facilities for Diamond
<br />Business Improvement District (DBID) including a new 500-gpm
<br />production wellhead facilities, controls, and pipelines to enable the City
<br />to utilize groundwater for irrigation purposes.
<br />Saxony Pump Station Rehabilitation, Leucadia Wastewater
<br />District, CA. Project Engineer for the design of a pump station
<br />rehabilitation for a 40-hp, 870-gpm sewer lift station. Project included
<br />replacement of existing submersible pumps and motors with new
<br />submersible chopper pumps, replacement of valve vault valves and
<br />piping, replacement of PVC wet well lining, sewer bypassing, manhole
<br />lining, installation of new LED site lighting, power monitors, automatic
<br />transfer switch, uninterrupted power supply, emergency generator
<br />connection and miscellaneous pump station site repairs.
<br />Village Park No. 5 Pump Station Replacement, Leucadia
<br />Wastewater District, CA. Project Engineer for pump station
<br />rehabilitation project consisting of a new submersible duplex station,
<br />valve vault, bypass connection, electrical upgrades, bypass pumping
<br />and sequence of construction specifications.
<br />Station 119/120 Concrete Reservoirs, Anderson Pacific/
<br />California Water Service Company, CA. Project Engineerfor
<br />the design of two 0.4-MG conventionally reinforced concrete water
<br />reservoirs, associated site piping and grading. Project included
<br />obtaining a building and public works permit from the City of San
<br />Carlos.
<br />Lt West Side Sewer Force Main Replacement, Leucadia
<br />Wastewater District, CA. Project Engineer for the design of 2,594
<br />linear feet of 24" sewer force main replacement and associated
<br />appurtenances. Project included obtaining permits from multiple
<br />agencies including Caltrans, North County Transit District and the City
<br />of Encinitas. Project included installation of flexible expansion joints on
<br />the existing ductile iron bridge crossing.
<br />FY16 Gravity Sewer Main Repairs, Leucadia Wastewater District,
<br />CA. Project Engineer for the design of 3,131 linear feet of cured -in -place
<br />pipe lining, installation of cured -in -place manhole liner and three sag
<br />repairs. Project also included the emergency installation of 355linear
<br />foot cured -in -place pipe liner for a badly corroded 10" cast iron gravity
<br />sewer on an expedited design basis.
<br />Leucadia Scenic Cured -in -Place Pipe Lining, Leucadia
<br />Wastewater District, CA. Project Engineerfor the design of 2,018
<br />linear feet of cured -in -place pipe lining in existing 12" gravity sewer.
<br />Project included obtaining Caltrans encroachment permit.
