Include resign, materials, condition, alterations, size, setting, and boundaries) <br />Located in Floral Park on the west side of North Ross Street the Bessie Coulter House is a one-story single-family residential <br />building constructed in the Tudor Revival architectural style. The subject property is made up of a long, narrow lot that <br />contains the residence to the east and a detached garage to the west. The residential building has an L-shaped footprint and <br />is clad in smooth stucco. It features a roof that is cross -gabled at both the front and rear of the building. The roof is clad in <br />composition shingles with minimal overhanging eaves and exposed rafter tails. Asymmetrical in design, the house exhibits a <br />steeply pitched front gable roof, characterized by uneven rakes, that projects from the sid"abled and hipped roof at the <br />primary (east) fagade. The front -gabled wing is centered between a window bay to the south and an attached porte cochere <br />to the north and contains the main entrance within an arched porch and an adjacent arched, fixed window. Both entry and <br />window are deeply recessed into the building. The main entrance consists of an arched door WM a single, narrow light. <br />Segmental arch openings characterize the Porte cochere. Building fenestration includes double, wood -framed, casement <br />windows with divided lights on the primary and north elevations.
