INSURANCE NOT REQUIRED <br />A-2022-223 <br />WORK MAY PROCEED <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br />FIRST AMENDMENT TO EMERGENCY SOLUTIONS GRANT MEMORANDUM OF <br />UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AND THE SANTA ANA <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />(24 CFR Parts 91 and 576) <br />THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE EMERGENCY SOLUTIONS GRANT <br />C%A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING is entered into this 15' day of November, 2022, by and between <br />4= the City of Santa Ana, a charter city and municipal corporation of the State of California ("City"), and the Santa <br />ota Ana Police Department ("Subrecipient"). <br />RECITALS <br />C> <br />A. On July 1, 2022, the City entered into an Emergency Solutions Grant Memorandum of <br />Understanding with the Santa Ana Police Department, A-2022-093-01, to provide Emergency <br />Funds from the United States Department of Housing and urban Development (HUD) to be used in <br />the operation of an emergency solution program for the homeless or at risk of homelessness of the <br />City of Santa Ana ("said Memorandum of Understanding"), <br />B. In an effort to provide additional housing assistance activities to serve Santa Ana residents <br />experiencing homelessness, $30,000 will be reallocated to the Santa Ana Police Department <br />HEART program. <br />C. In accordance with the terms and conditions of said Memorandum of Understanding, the parties <br />desire to amend to increase funds to the Subrecipient, which need to be spent by June 30, 2023. <br />NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual and respective promises, and subject to the terms <br />and conditions of said Memorandum of Understanding, except as herein modified, the parties agree as <br />follows: <br />1. Paragraph 5, shall be amended to increase funding to Subrecipient by $30,000 in additional Data <br />Collection and Outreach and Engagement Services. The new total sum shall be increased from <br />$50,000 to an amount not to exceed $80,000 in grant funding. <br />2. Section 1, subsection A, shall be amended to add the specific tasks required of the new funds as <br />depicted in Subrecipient's Scope of Services attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein <br />by reference. <br />3. Section 111, shall be amended to increase finding to Subrecipient by $30,000 for a total sun not <br />to exceed $80,000. Subrecipient's Budget for these new funds is attached hereto as Exhibit B and <br />incorporated herein by reference. <br />4. Except as hereinabove modified, the terms and conditions of said Agreement remain unchanged <br />and in Rill force and effect. <br />
