MAINTENANCE <br />a, Consider the condition of the maintenance of the equipment and it's component <br />parts <br />6. AWARENESS & COMPETENCE <br />a. Document how employees must follow the policies and effectively implement the <br />procedures <br />7. ELECTRICAL SAFETY PROGRAM CONTROLS <br />a. Document how the Electrical Safety Program shall identify the controls from which it <br />Is measured and monitored <br />b. Document which metrics could be used <br />8. GENERAL RISK ASSESSMENT <br />a. The Electrical Safety Program should identify the steps that employees must take <br />where the risk of injury from electrical hazards are unacceptable <br />9. JOB BRIEFING <br />a. Specify how the employee shall perform job briefing before starting each job and <br />the potential hazards associated with to discuss in addition to the required PPE and <br />any special precautions. <br />10. ELECTRICAL SAFETY AUDITING <br />a. Document how the Electrical Safety Program shall be audited to verify that the <br />procedures and principles within the program are in compliance with NPFA 70E. <br />b. Document how field work shall be audited to verify the requirements within the <br />safety program are being followed. <br />11. TRAINING REQUIREMENTS <br />a. Specify how often employees shall be trained to identify and understand the <br />relationship between electrical hazards and the possibility of injury <br />b. State the types of training that will be required <br />i) Classroom Arc Flash training <br />ii) Emergency Response Training (contact release, first aid, etc.) <br />iii) Qualification for electrical work <br />c. Training verification and documentation by the employer <br />12.
