From 2003 to 2009, Mr. Kahrobaee was a Power System Engineer and Trainer at <br />MATN International Co, where he was responsible for training over 1000 engineers in <br />power system software. He led more than 65 power courses and workshops and also <br />provided support in modeling wind farms such as Iran's first operated wind farm. He <br />then moved into a position at the University of Nebraska -Lincoln as a Research <br />Assistant between 2019 and 2013. In this role, he developed simulation methods, <br />proposed new indices, developed simulation models, and proposed a hybrid analytical - <br />simulation approach for reliability assessment. <br />In 2014, Mr. Kahrobaee became a Senior Power System Engineer and Manager at <br />ETAP. As a Senior Power System Engineer, he provided services on numerous projects <br />related to the UBC campus, railways system, and relay coordination of industrial <br />systems. <br />From 2017 to 2020, Mr. Kahrobaee served as a Senior Engineer at SCE. Within this <br />role, he was responsible for work in the areas of Grid Technology Innovation and <br />Advanced Technology. Since 2020, Mr. Kahrobaee has worked at Substation Asset <br />Engineering as an Electrical Manager. Within this role, he oversees a team of engineers <br />and is responsible for providing insights for substation equipment, developing apparatus <br />specifications, and updating design and construction standards. <br />Since 2020 , Mr. Kahrobaee serves as a lead consultant in SMAART POWER <br />overseeing to team of engineers for grid innovation technologies, substation design, <br />feasibility studies, system analysis and project deliverables. <br />Certifications & Licenses <br />Organizational Leadership & Communications Certificate (2019 — 2021, No expiration) <br />Kamshad Eshghi — Lead Consultant / Project Lead <br />Education <br />Mr. Esghi is a Professional Engineer and NERC Reliability Coordinator. In 2011, he <br />graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical <br />Engineering. In 2014, he went on to graduate with a Master of Science in Electrical <br />Engineering from the University of Washington — Seattle. In May 2022, Mr. Esghi is <br />anticipated to graduate from the University of Idaho with a Ph.D. in Electrical <br />Engineering — Power Systems. <br />Experience <br />Mr. Esghi began his career as an Electrical Engineering Intern for Comtech EF Data. <br />Within this role, he learned how to effectively design small FPGA to control compression <br />boards. He eventually moved into a Power Systems Research Assistant position at <br />Idaho National Lab in 2014 where until 2017 he was responsible for work for two high- <br />level research projects. <br />Between 2011 and May 2017, Mr. Esghi also worked as a Substation Protection and <br />Control Engineer at Black and Veatch on serval projects.
