City of Santa Ana RFP 22-124 <br />Page A1-1 <br /> <br />Appendix <br />ATTACHMENT 1 <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS <br />FOR <br />LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN SERVICES <br />FOR <br />A NEW PARK AT 10TH & FLOWER STREETS <br />RFP NO. 22-124 <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION/PROJECT BACKGROUND <br /> <br />The proposed new park at 10th and Flower Streets will be a new 0.65 acre neighborhood park <br />located at the southeast corner of 10th Street and Flower Street, just north of Civic Center Blvd. <br />The intent of this park is to provide the local community with access to open space, exercise and <br />recreation facilities. Based on input from the local community, the project will include, but is <br />not limited to, the following project components: <br /> <br />• Park concept plan <br />• Playground Area, with rubberized play surface <br />• Exercise Area <br />• Canvas shade structures <br />• Turf play area <br />• Site lighting (new electrical service) <br />• Water wise landscaping, with shade trees <br />• Automated irrigation system (new water service) <br />• Site Furnishings (benches, bike racks, trash receptacles, drinking fountain, picnic tables) <br />• Park monument sign <br />• Feasibility study to incorporate Garnsey Avenue ROW into project <br />• Perimeter ROW improvements <br />• WQMP, as applicable <br /> <br /> <br />The site is currently comprised of six separate parcels (APN’s 005-142-34, 005-142-35,005-142- <br />47, 005-142-48, 005-142-49, 005-142-58). The six lots are currently identified as Low Density <br />Residential (LR-7) land use and zoned Professional (P). They are all currently vacant dirt areas. <br />The Assessor’s Parcel Map and Photos of the existing site condition can be found in the <br />Appendix of the RFP as Attachment 4. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />City Council 17 – 14 5/2/2023
