FIRM AND TEAM EXPERIENCE <br />LABORATORY CAPABILITIES <br />RMA Group maintains the most comprehensive state <br />of the art laboratory resources available in California. <br />We own and operate full -service construction materials <br />testing facilities located in Rancho Cucamonga, San <br />Jose, Rancho Cordova, Concord, and San Diego. <br />Services for this contract will be delivered from our <br />office and laboratory in Carson with back-up services <br />provided from our office and laboratory location in <br />Carson, CA. <br />Our laboratory facilities are fully equipped to perform <br />Portland cement concrete, masonry, hot mix asphalt, <br />soils, aggregates, structural steel, reinforcing steel, <br />spray fire -resistive materials, and geotechnical <br />engineering application testing for any project which <br />allows us to control the scheduling and priority of all <br />testing and to never rely on an unrelated third party to <br />deliver test results. <br />Our laboratories have sample receiving areas and <br />are equipped with moist curing rooms, fume hoods, <br />compressed air, deionized water, and other general <br />utilities required for certified facilities. Our moist <br />curing rooms are walk-in storage units with controlled <br />temperature and relative humidity. Our asphalt <br />laboratories are at the cutting edge of the latest <br />technologies performing mix design tests utilizing the <br />Gyratory compactor and rut testing of asphalt mixes <br />utilizing the Hamburg wheel tracking device. <br />Our universal tension / compression machines <br />run from 60k pounds to 600k pounds and are fully <br />instrumented and equipped to test up to a number <br />18 reinforcing steel bars. Our laboratories are ISO <br />17025 accredited and approved to test mechanical <br />couplers and welded splices and hoops for columns <br />used in contruction. <br />In addition to our permanent and satellite laboratory <br />facilities, RMAGoup owns a fleet of fully self-sufficient <br />and customizable mobile laboratories. These mobile <br />labs are available to be mobilized to a jobsite in hours <br />and arrive at the project site Caltrans-certified and <br />ready to perform testing within minutes. <br />They are fully -self sufficient with internal power and <br />water and are capable of being moved to various <br />locations throughout the duration of a project to <br />maximize their efficiency. <br />All of our laboratories comply with the requirements <br />for laboratory facilities detailed in ASTM E-329 and <br />are inspected biannually by the Division of the State <br />Architect (DSA), Cement and Concrete Reference <br />Laboratory (CCRL) and the American Association of <br />State Highway and Transportation Officials Materials <br />Reference Laboratory (AMRL) of the National Bureau <br />of Standards. <br />RMA Group continually participates in the reference <br />sample programs offered by the CCRL, the AMRL, <br />and Caltrans.
