Thomson Reuters is one of the industry's leaders in providing similar services and has proven advantageous to the Police Department in their investigations. While there may be other vendors who can provide elements of the data and public records, Thomson Reuters provides a convenient, single platform solution for effective investigations, and staff are already trained and familiar with how to utilize the platform. The existing subscription service agreement will be terminated upon approval of this new subscription service.
