CLINICAL MEDICAL ASSISTANT (CMA) <br />In -class / On-line / Hybrid <br />(BACK OFFICE) <br />Course Description <br />600 Clock Hours / 25.5 Credit Hours <br />This six hundred hours (600), 25 week program prepares the student for entry level employment in a <br />clinical/medical setting of a health facility or a physician's office. Students receive instruction in medical law <br />and ethics, terminology, anatomy and physiology, human relations, use and care of diagnostic equipment, <br />venipuncture, injections, pharmacology, universal precautions, vital signs, CPR, first aid, hematology, EKG's, <br />stress testing, Holter monitor, urinalysis, and microbiology. Students will be required to participate in a 160-hour <br />extern experience after completion of their classroom studies.
