152 <br />_Z <br />TOEFLiBT <br />Program Description The TOEFL iBT program provides intensive English instruction and orientation for <br />andf bjectives international students planning to attend American colleges and universities and individuals <br />pursuing professional training in the U.S. This program aims to help students feel confident <br />and well -prepared when taking the Internet -based TOEFL (iBT). The program starts with an <br />10 introduction to the iBT format. Students will then learn the types of questions on the reading, <br />listening, speaking, and writing sections of the test and test -taking strategies for each <br />section. In this program, the student will polish the language and computer skills needed for <br />the exam, improving their overall test -taking abilities. <br />There is a daily homework assignment in all language skill areas, including vocabulary. Finally, <br />the student will be given opportunities to take practice tests for each section. This program <br />will interest the student who would like to take the TOEFL iBT in particular. <br />Diploma of Completion Students who complete their curriculum objectives within the maximum timeframe are <br />eligible to graduate. Contained within those 240 hours <br />are approximately 199 teacher contact hours, 4 hours of educational field trips, 12 hours of testing, 1 hour of <br />orientation, and 24 hours of utilization of the language laboratory/media center. Social events, which promote and <br />affirm student culture, may be held during or outside of normal course hours. This is subject to change based on <br />instructor's daily plan. <br />TOEFL iBT Class Students in the TOEFL iBT program study in the morning, afternoon, and evening period. <br />Schedule Classes are held for 4 hours Monday through Friday for a total of 20 hours a week.
