Final specifications are submitted at the Final for incorporation into the bid <br />package. <br />Cost Estimating <br />NUVIS updates the statement of probable construction cost during the construction document <br />phase. Costs are submitted with plans during plans check for revie and comment from the <br />governing agency. Final costs are submitted relative to the bid schedule and submitted within <br />the bid package. <br />Permitting <br />NUVIS will coordinate the project through the plan check approvals. NUVIS Team will assist the <br />City in submitting for and securing permits for the project. City shall be responsible for all plan <br />check fees and building permits; review of documents submitted and render decisions <br />pertaining thereto in a reasonably prompt manner, so as to avoid unreasonable delay in the <br />orderly progress of services. <br />Quality Control/Quality Assurance <br />NUVIS QAQC program involves a minimum of two individuals: an originator and back checker, <br />and a checker and verifier. The originator provides design information to the drafter or CADD <br />technician who then submits applicable documents, first, for plan check then after corrections <br />are made to the checker. The checker is responsible for reviewing exhibits, drawings, and <br />calculations, independent of originator or project manager, for technical adequacy, conformance <br />to applicable standards/formats and consistency with corresponding calculations. Calculations <br />are prepared by two separate individuals then averaged by the project manager. The process is <br />easily tracked and visually verified by performance auditors. <br />Professional Services during Bid and Construction <br />Bid Advertisement Support <br />While the City governs the Bid Process, NUVIS is available for interpretation of plans and <br />specifications, submitting information for addenda, reviewing bid proposals, and assisting with <br />the awarding of the construction contract. <br />Construction Support <br />Performance of field observation during construction establishes standards of acceptability. <br />Duties may include, but not limited to: <br />• attendance at pre -construction conference. <br />• respond to questions and interpret plans and specifications. <br />• assisting in determining and processing change orders. <br />• attendance at periodic site visits as mutually agreed with the agency. <br />• review of shop drawings, samples, and other submissions. <br />• field selection of plant material. <br />• participation in preliminary and final checklist preparation. <br />As Built Plans <br />NUVIS shall prepare as -built prepare record drawings from Contractor provided redlined "as - <br />built" drawings once the project construction has been completed and approved by the City to <br />depict the installed project by the Contractor. <br />20 <br />
