He brings <br />over 24 years of experience in facilitating successful outcomes, working directly <br />in partnership with city agencies, community groups and other organizations <br />to design and document small and large-scale projects with specific, unique <br />identities. Kirk provides a depth of knowledge on best practices, innovative <br />design, and management of projects, from Urban Parklets in Long Beach to <br />Adaptive Re -use developments, streetscape and parks in Los Angeles. He is <br />well -versed in organizing and leading project teams in the completion of a given <br />project with pedestrian oriented and sustainable design strategies integrated to <br />the greatest extent possible. <br />Kirk received a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture with Honors <br />from Cornell University. He has been a LEED®Accredited Professional since <br />2007 and is a licensed landscape architect in California, Nevada, and Texas. <br />Shruti Shankar, AICP, LEED AP ND <br />Associate, Urban Design Director <br />Shruti Shankar,AICP brings over a decade of design, planning and sustainability <br />experience to Studio One Eleven in her role as Urban Design Director. Her <br />work focuses on creating sustainable and equitable urbanism, and vibrant <br />urban places by combining data -driven insights, design thinking, community <br />engagement and collaborative city -building practices. She is experienced in <br />a variety of project types, including visioning, master planning, public space <br />design, and tactical urbanism for placemaking and testing improvements. <br />Shruti co-authored a study in collaboration with USC, focusing on measures <br />of equity, sustainability and park need to identify high -priority areas for park <br />development in Los Angeles County. The study explored a joint development <br />model for parks and open space, put forth by the Los Angeles Regional Open <br />Space and Affordable Housing (LA ROSAH) Collaborative.
