FAIR OAKS PARK, SUNNYVALE Project Description: Verde Design was selected by the City of Sunnyvale for the renovation of Fair Oaks Park, a 15-acre community park located in Northern Sunnyvale, originally built in 1969, The design includes the replacement of the existing athletic field turf with synthetic turf for its baseball, soccer, and multi -use fields. This is the City's first park with synthetic turf, which will reduce annual water usage and significantly increase play time during high rainfall seasons. In addition to the fields, the Verde Design team worked with the Magical Bridge Foundation and City staff for an all-inclusive playground to be incorporated within the park design. The project also included hardcourt improvements, expanded picnic areas, and circulation and infrastructure improvements.
