Annually our staff in Santa Ana is issuing over 65,000 citations with a dismissal rate of 0.8%. This metric quantifies the importance of initial and ongoing training as well as a QA/QC process to ensure citation accuracy. We believe well -trained officers will ensure a high rate of enforcement resulting in increased compliance and reducing negative backlash from citizens who may protest effective enforcement, thus reducing the demands on both LAZ Parking and Santa Ana PD staff. We will provide extensive in-house training with a formal induction program for new employees, continuing on-the- job training, and participation in training offered by Santa Ana Police Department. New hires go through a combination of classroom and field training, including ride -along training with supervisors and the Santa Ana Police Department.
