appeal in writing to the Dean of Education. The Dean of Education <br />will make any final determination as to whether or not the <br />student will be allowed to take a make-up exam and/or whether <br />or not a make-up exam will be penalized. <br />TRANSCRIPTS, DEGREES & DIPLOMAS <br />Students may request an official transcript from the SCIT <br />Registrar's Office as long as they are In good financial standing <br />with the school. Official transcripts generally take two weeks to <br />be prepared and cost a fee, which can be obtained by contacting <br />the SLIT Registrar's Office. Students may pick up their official <br />transcript at the SCIT Registrar's Office during normal business <br />hours when ready or request that their official transcripts be <br />mailed for an additional fee. Students may also request that the <br />preparation of their official transcript be expedited for an <br />additional fee. <br />Diplomas and Degrees will be available for pick up at the SCIT <br />Registrar's Office approximately two weeks after graduation and <br />completion of the Exit Form. There is no cost for the original <br />degree or diploma. Students may request additional copies of <br />their degrees of diplomas for an additional cost by contacting the <br />SCIT Registrar's Office. <br />ACADEMIC PLAN AND SAP UNITS <br />A students' Academic Plan is a list of all courses the student is <br />required to complete in order to graduate from the school. The <br />Academic Plan is determined by the school and is based on the <br />curricula of the programs) for which the student enrolls. A <br />students Academic Plan may change throughout the students <br />enrollment at the school depending on whether modification are <br />made to a programs curricula as determined by the SCIT <br />Education Department or the student decides to enroll in <br />additional programs or withdraw from a currently enrolled <br />program. The Academic Plan SAP Units Is the sum of credit units <br />for all required courses in the students' current and prior, if any, <br />Academic Plan(s) In the students' current enrollment minus <br />courses for which the student did not attempt but has completed <br />based on any of the criteria defined in the Course Completion <br />section of this Catalog. <br />Academics <br />Page 23 of 69 <br />
