CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />12. Individual temporary workers are not permitted to work more than 960 hours in any fiscal year <br />period (July 1 — June 30). Contractor is solely responsible for tracking hours worked by all <br />temporary workers, and to notify the Department contact and the Human Resources Department <br />within 30 working days of any temporary worker reaching the limit of 960 hours. <br />13. Contractor must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including <br />California Assembly Bill 1028 (effective January 1, 2012) and CalPERS rules regarding CalPERS <br />Retired Annuitants, whether formerly employed by the City or other public agency employers <br />subscribing to CaIPERS. Contractor must also ensure that no employee provided under this <br />agreement would need to be reinstated to CaIPERS employment or considered to be in violation <br />of the retirement law or otherwise in unlawful employment as a result of their work at the City prior <br />to assigning any temporary worker to any City request. <br />C. SERVICE CATEGORIES <br />Please note the service categories listed in this document are provided for purposes of this RFP and <br />should not be construed as a detailed description of the tasks to be performed but rather a broad <br />general outline. <br />General Administrative Office Support <br />Temporary Administrative Support role (e.g., Administrative Assistant and Office Specialist) is <br />responsible for but not limited to: opening and routing mail, answering telephones, providing <br />customer service at public counters, drafting general correspondence, preparing minutes of <br />meetings, may operate computer, and other administrative duties assigned. <br />2. Executive/Senior Administrative Office Support <br />In addition to the tasks required of General Administrative Office Support, temporary Executive/ <br />Senior Administrative Office Support Roles perform highly responsible secretarial and routine <br />administrative duties in the office of the City Manager, City Attorney, or reports directly to an <br />Executive team member with a higher level of professionalism and experience. <br />3. Professional Accounting and Financial Administrative Support <br />Temporary Accounting Support role is responsible for but not limited to reconciling accounting <br />records; preparing accounting reports and budgets; reviewing and verifying payroll documents <br />and compliance documents for completeness, correct pay rate and reasonableness; producing <br />reported work hours summary reports; posting accounting entries; summarizing accounting <br />records; accepting and processing invoice payments. <br />Temporary professional accountant is responsible for but not limited to accounting duties requiring <br />the application of accounting principles and practices. <br />Legal Secretary / Paralegal Support <br />Temporary Legal Secretary Support roles perform a variety of complex and responsible legal <br />secretarial and clerical work involving specialized legal terminology, documents and procedures; <br />processes legal papers and documents in accordance with established procedures and formats; <br />and performs confidential secretarial and minor legal procedures for one or more attorneys, as <br />assigned, including maintaining court and appointment calendars. <br />5. Other Technical and Professional Classifications as Determined <br />
