PROPOSAL—RFP NO: 23-014 <br />Jun 1, 2023 - May 31, 2026 <br />COVER LETTER <br />One of the most important functions of the City of Santa Ana Public Works Agency is to <br />maintain a healthy, reliable and safe drinking water supply for residents. An essential part of its <br />role is to keep residents informed of ongoing water construction projects, critical <br />announcements such as water rate adjustments, and other important initiatives such as water <br />conservation, groundwater protection, its Food Oil & Grease (FOG) Management & Control <br />Program as well as educational and rebate programs available to the public. <br />The Water Resources Division ("Division") is an award -winning utility that has earned <br />recognition for its best tasting and highest quality tap water; state-of-the-art technology; <br />innovation and exceptional engineering; reliability, efficiency and green approach to public <br />works projects; and community service and impact on quality of life. Among the prestigious <br />organizations that have recognized the Division include: <br />• Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting Festival — Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards <br />• Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI) — Envision Bronze Award <br />• Southern California Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA) — Project of <br />the Year Award <br />• Orange County Engineering Council (OCEC) — Engineering Project Achievement Award <br />• California Municipal Utilities Association (CMUA) — Resource Efficiency & Community <br />Service Awards: Best Water Program and Best Energy Program <br />• California Water Environment Association (CWEA) — Medium Collection System of the <br />Year <br />• IDC Government Insights — Smart Water Award <br />Understanding of Need <br />Straightline Communications ("Straightline") looks forward to the opportunity of building upon <br />the PWA's legacy and successes within the scope of this proposal, which —based on our <br />experience —includes the following: <br />• Interactive, html and printable [PDF] Water Quality Consumer Confidence Report (WQCCR) <br />in English. A Spanish and Vietnamese WQCCR will only be provided as a printable PDF, <br />not an interactive html report. <br />• Ongoing updates to the City's web based WQCCR. <br />• Ongoing updates to the Water Resources section of the City's website. <br />• Marketing collateral such as outdoor ads (bus shelters and electronic billboards), banners, <br />posters, flyers, brochures, direct -mail postcards, bill inserts and letters.
