Oracle 12c <br />Program Description <br />This Oracle Database 12c: Administration Workshop I Release 2 course explores the fundamentals of basic database <br />administration. Expert Oracle University instructors will reinforce topics with structured hands-on practices that will <br />prepare you for the corresponding Oracle Certified Associate exam. <br />This program focuses on Oracle Database Administration II, backup recovery, networking, and performance tuning. <br />Included are theory and hands-on practice using the Oracle database engine, Oracle server, Oracle NET, Oracle <br />Enterprise Manager, and tuning tools. <br />Course Objectives <br />• Retrieve row and column data from tables with the SELECT statement. <br />• Create reports of sorted data. <br />• Display data from multiple tables. <br />• Use DML statements to manage data. <br />• Use DDL statements to manage <br />• Manage data concurrency <br />• Monitor performance <br />• Describe Oracle Database Architecture <br />• Install Oracle Grid Infrastructure. <br />• Create and manage users. <br />• Install and configure an Oracle Database. <br />• Create and manage storage structures. <br />• Administer the Oracle Database. <br />• Understand the Oracle database architecture and how its components work and interact with one another. <br />• Perform backup and recovery <br />• Back and recover a database (and its parts) with RMAN (command -line and Enterprise Manager) <br />• Use flashback technology to view past states of data and to revert either objects or the entire database back <br />to a past state <br />• Use an appropriate and flexible memory configuration for your database <br />• Identify burdensome database sessions and poorly performing SQL <br />• Configure the Oracle Database for optimal recovery <br />• Configure the database instance such that resources are appropriately allocated among sessions and tasks <br />• Schedule jobs to run inside or outside of the database <br />• Use compression to optimize database storage and duplicate a database <br />Course Delivery Option: Classroom, Online/Distance Learning <br />Sequence and frequency of class sessions: Every 6 weeks <br />Related Job Titles/Occupations <br />Software Developers and Programmers SOC Code 15-1130 <br />Computer Operators SOC Code 15-1100 <br />Database Administrator SOC Code 15-1141 <br />101 <br />
