In <br />fact, this practice actually prevents many from qualifying for housing <br />and sentences them to remain living on the streets as a result of being <br />criminalized for being poor. <br />• Rather than criminalizing unhoused neighbors, our strong <br />recommendation is for the city to invest in housing and care —not jail <br />and one-way tickets out of town.
