Orozco, Norma
From: Victor Gallardo <
Sent: Monday, August 14, 2023 2:05 PM
To: eComment
Cc: Amezcua, Valerie; Hernandez, Johnathan; angie.banuelos@gmail.com; Bacerra, Phil;
Lopez, Jessie; Phan, Thai; Vazquez, Benjamin; Penaloza, David
Subject: Support for Item #14
Please Support item #14.
Why are other cities coming to Santa Ana to push for Santa Ana to have codes and laws that allow for more
homelessness, more drug use, etc. it's because if Santa Ana has them then they (the other surrounding cities)
can just send all their problems to Santa Ana. I live 3 blocks from Santa Ana College, I live by 17th Street and
Bristol/Flower. Drive down 17th and see the drugs, homelessness, prostitutes, etc. I'm a citizen of the USA,
Californian, born, raised and still live in Santa Ana. My kids are at the Santa Ana Library EVERY WEEK (Civic
Center & Newhope, every one at the Library knows my wife and kids), why do we have to deal with unsafe
environments? Why can't my kids ride their bikes to the local 7-11(I'm 2 % blocks from two of them) to pick
up a Slurpee? Why doesn't Santa Ana protect the interest of the actual legal residence of this City? I'm
Hispanic, I'm a "minority", etc. but why does this city continue pander and cater to politics that do not benefit
the people who want to raise their kids in this City? Stop, trying to be like LA. Look what is happening around
the State to the cities that do not look out for their citizens best interest - Oakland, San Francisco, LA, and now
you can add Santa Ana. Look what is going on in New York City, Chicago, Seattle, Portland. We need to start
making Santa Ana a safe and beautiful place for our kids. Stop the politics - focus on the legal, tax paying, hard
working, Santa Ana Residence!
Does Santa Ana have someone who is not backed by a political arm/brand that supports nonsense policies? Or
is it just assumed that because Santa Ana is 90% Mexican (of which I am Mexican -American) that Santa Ana
will continue to get the same brand of politics and policies that do not look out for actual Santa Ana legal
Residence and will mirror what is happening in said cities mentioned above?
Maybe it's time I seek some financial resources so I can run for office. You know Run the City like I run my
house, my business, with common sense rules and boundaries, with a budget, without debt, and with me
making decisions for the best interest of my wife and kids and in my business for my clients and vendors. It's a
novel idea, just not sure why governments, bureaucracies and politicians continue to make decisions they
wouldn't make for their homes, their families or the their businesses.
If you're on this thread and live in Santa Ana or if you have family that lives in Santa Ana, please copy and
paste and send to the email addresses noted herein today.
With gratitude,
Victor Gallardo
Lumen Solutions, Inc.
(
NMLS: 326868
CA BRE: 01788360

10
