Our team has designed extensive Capital Improvement Projects for public agencies as both
stand-alone projects and as components of on-call/as-needed contracts. The best way to show
our relevant experience is to profile projects sharing similarities with the types of projects we
anticipate with this on -call contract. We have selected projects that demonstrate the ability to
provide the technical expertise the City seeks.
Street and Traffic Design Services for the 2021 - 2023 CIP
LAKE FOREST, CA
RICK is currently providing preliminary studies
for three intersection improvement projects.
Improvements include the addition of a defacto
right turn at Jeronimo/Lake Forest Drive, roadway
widening to accommodate dual left turn lanes
at eastbound Bake Parkway to northbound
Toledo, dual left turn lanes at northbound Toledo
to westbound Bake Parkway, and roadway
widening to accommodate a right turn only
lane on westbound Los Alisos to northbound Rockfield. Currently, utility
correspondence and traffic counts are complete, and analysis to verify
traffic volumes and ultimate improvement needs is underway. Preliminary
intersection geometric alternative studies will soon be underway for the
three intersections.
Key Components: Preliminary Engineering Alternative Analysis, Field
Topographic & R/W Surveys, ROW Mapping, Landscape/Irrigation,
WQMP, and Temporary Construction Estimate Mapping.
El Toro Road at Portola/Santa Margarita Parkway
LAKE FOREST, CA
Through our current Street and Traffic On -Call contract with the City of Lake
Forest, RICK provided preliminary engineering services for the preparation
and approval of an alternative study for the improvements required to provide
an additional El Toro Road eastbound left turn lane to northbound Portola,
which requires right-of-way from the County of Orange.
For westbound El Toro, the project provides another designated right turn
only lane to northbound Portola. An additional project component includes
a connection to the westbound El Toro sidewalk to the existing Class 1
Los Alisos Creek Bikeway.
COMPLETION DATE
December 2021 - Present
CLIENT / CONTACT
City of Lake Forest
Doug Erdman, PE
Assistant City Engineer
(949)282-5233
derdman@lakeforestca.gov
COMPLETION DATE
On -Going (95% complete)
CLIENT / CONTACT
City of Lake Forest
Doug Erdman, PE
Assistant City Engineer
(949)282-5233
derdman@lakeforestca.gov
RICK
