On -Call Engineering Services RFP No. 23-030 ti <br />Tasks and deliverables shown in this sample scope of services are provided for proposal purposes only. <br />The nature of tasks and deliverables are project -dependent and will vary for each individual task order as <br />requested by the City. <br />Task 1 — Project Management, Meetings and Coordination <br />This task includes project management related tasks such as budget oversight, adherence to project <br />scheduling, and general project coordination. We will communicate with designated City staff (via phone, <br />e-mail, etc.) to provide coordination between the City and Kimley-Horn staff. We will meet with City staff <br />during the course of the project, including one "kick-off' meeting and monthly project progress meetings <br />as requested by the City. The meetings may include discussion on project status and design submittals <br />or to present issues and/or findings. <br />Task 2 — Field Work and Base Map Preparation <br />Kimley-Horn will perform a field review of observable conditions. We will collect field notes for the <br />preparation of street improvement plans including existing street geometrics, lane configurations and <br />widths, digital photographs, and inventory and location of existing facilities that may impact placement of <br />proposed improvements. We will conduct an as -built record research at the City of Santa Ana and <br />County of Orange offices to supplement project base mapping. <br />Deliverable: Field Notes and Photos <br />Task 3 — Survey <br />The Kimley-Horn team will provide a design level Topographic Survey at the project intersections. The <br />rights -of -way will be shown for reference based upon available record maps. The team will walk the <br />project intersections with the City's project manager prior to beginning work. The topographic survey will <br />include: <br />• The vertical control will be based on a local municipal vertical elevation datum, if available <br />• The horizontal control will be based on the California State Plane Coordinate System of 1983 <br />(NAD 83) by using County of Orange GPS horizontal control points and vertical datum shall be <br />NAVD 88. Survey observations will be taken on 50-foot street cross sections to create 1' contour <br />intervals <br />• Spot elevations of grade breaks of curbs, gutters, flow lines, and catch basins <br />• Location, elevation, size, and type of existing visible utilities and improvements <br />• Flow line invert elevations and sizes of existing sanitary sewer and storm drain manholes <br />• Existing driveways and intersections <br />• Location of existing signing, striping, and traffic control signals <br />• Location of trees over six feet in height, regardless of caliper <br />• Topo will be prepared at 20-scale to include areas ten feet beyond the street right-of-way <br />Kimley)))Horn GMOC77011.2023 <br />
