We R Builders, Inc. <br />3746 Foothill Blvd, #304, Glendale, CA 91214 <br />714.423.3844 1 Admin (C)WRBConstruction.com <br />CA License #1055746 1 DIR #1000884610 <br />— UNDERSTANDING SCOPE OF SERVICES — <br />February 6, 2023 <br />Reference: On Call Emergency Asphalt & PCC (RFP No. 22-096) <br />Agency: City of Santa Ana, Department of Public Works <br />With reference to above referenced, the following scope of work outlines We R Builders' understanding of the <br />scope of work and anticipated approach to perform such services to satisfy the Contractors scope of work in <br />accordance with this RFP. Such services will be contingent on the Task Order and its magnitude of its urgency, <br />type of work, etc., as further detailed in the RFP, to ultimately determine the appropriate procedure(s) and <br />process' to respond to each assignment appropriately and as applicable. <br />After retrieving the City of Santa Anas inquiry of the Task Order and all information has been provided, the <br />following Construction Services shall take place — <br />Mobilization — <br />• Coordinate, assemble and dispatch crew and equipment as required to accommodate the <br />workreflected on the task order. <br />Facilitate USA Dig Alert as required/needed. <br />• Ensure PPE's, Safety measures and practices are in place and in accordance to OSHA <br />regulations. Safety measures further extend to proper site investigation and preparation <br />requirements to protect and existing facility(s) visible and within the work zone. <br />• Layout appropriate Traffic Control system to accommodate work area. <br />• Unless directed otherwise by the City, traffic control implementation will be per Watch Manual <br />(unless directed otherwise by appropriate representative). <br />• Preparation: This includes removing any existing vegetation and debris from the area, marking <br />the location of utilities, and setting up barriers to protect the work area and the public. <br />• Demolition: The existing concrete Sidewalk, Curb & Gutter, Roadway, and/or other component <br />of the RFP, is broken up using heavy machinery such as jackhammers or concrete saws. The <br />debris is disposed of properly. Where grinding then overlaying is required, the bobcat grinder <br />attachment will be used. <br />• Base Preparation: The surface is leveled and compacted to provide a stable base for the new <br />concrete. Any soft spots or low areas are filled with compacted soil or gravel. <br />• Reinforcing: Reinforcing steel or mesh is placed in the prepared base to help ensure the new <br />concrete will be strong and crack -resistant. <br />WE R BUILDERS, INC. www.WRBCONSTRUCTION.COM R F P N o. 2 2- 0 9 6 <br />
