DEPARTMENT ROLES <br />• Provides economic development services, job training, affordable housing, and downtown development <br />• Administers a signficant funding source of the annual CIP, the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) <br />• Coordinates Operating/Capital Budget Calendar and annual budget development process <br />• Compiles and edits Budget Book and CIP Documents (Operating and Capital) for City Council review and <br />adoption <br />• Development of General Plan <br />• Implementing state and local construction codes <br />• Planning and regulation of future land uses <br />• Plans, designs, builds and repairs capital projects in the community, including infrastructure, right of way <br />and utility systems utilizing various master plans as well as the Community's General Plan <br />• CIP Engineering (and other PWA departments) submits PWA project requests into the Questica Capital <br />Module <br />• Administration Group reviews and approves funding in the Questica Operating Module <br />• Reviews and approves other departments CIP project requests to ensure projects align with funding <br />sources and City standards <br />• Identifies and development CIP projects for 7 years, including unfunded projects <br />• Utilizes Questica Capital Module to approve CIP projects as submitted to include in the proposed FY2022- <br />23 CIP Book <br />• Develop presentation for Community Budget Forums and City Council Meetings <br />• Present proposed CIP Book to Planning Commission <br />Children's Patio- Main Library <br />
