Illegal fireworks accounted for 19% of all fireworks -related injuries while Safe <br />and Sane fireworks accounted for 13% of fireworks -related injuries. The remaining 68% of injuries <br />were caused by an unknown type. While there were a significant number of "unknown" type of <br />fireworks, Firecrackers were identified as the type of illegal firework that caused the most reported <br />injuries this year and Sparklers were the type of Safe and Sane firework that caused the most <br />reported injuries this year. <br />7 <br />
