Public Display Incidents <br />There were 25 public displays in Orange County this year. OCFA took part in 22 of those public <br />displays. Of the 22 public displays, there were no injuries reported. At the Monarch Beach Resort <br />in Dana Point, there was 1 ornamental vegetation fire that was extinguished by the pyro crew. <br />There was 1 violation issued for the Dana Point Barge where the mortars were not buried correctly. <br />Orange County shows outside of OCFA areas included: 1 in Orange, 1 in Costa Mesa and 1 in <br />Huntington Beach. <br />The following table details the malfunctions/injuries/fires that occurred at various Orange County <br />Independence Day firework display shows: <br />City <br />Injuries <br />Health & <br />Fires <br />Malfunctions/Comments <br />Safety <br />Violations <br />Irvine <br />0 <br />0 <br />0 <br />1 shell misfired <br />San Juan Capistrano <br />0 <br />0 <br />0 <br />15 shells misfired <br />Dana Point <br />0 <br />0 <br />1 <br />Minor fire in ornamental vegetation. <br />Dana Point Harbor <br />0 <br />1 <br />0 <br />Mortars not buried correctly and <br />unstable.
