This year, contusions/lacerations made up the majority of fireworks - <br />related injuries in Orange County, at 48% this year. This percentage is significantly higher than <br />the national rate of 20% for contusions/lacerations. Orange County's reported burns in 2021 are <br />on par with the national average, sitting at 41 % versus the national average of 44%.
