WDM0522 Page 7 of 23 March 1, 2022 <br /> <br /> <br />6.1.2 Provide VTR activities, not to exceed twelve (12) months, to prepare <br />PARTICIPANTS for employment in a specific trade, occupation, or <br />vocation. VTR may be extended upon prior approval from <br />ADMINISTRATOR. <br />6.1.3 Enroll PARTICIPANTS in a VTR program meeting the required <br />participation hours as referred by ADMINISTRATOR within fourteen <br />(14) calendar days of the referral, unless otherwise directed by <br />ADMINISTRATOR. <br />6.1.4 Work directly with ADMINISTRATOR to identify barriers to <br />participation, prior to returning the referral to ADMINISTRATOR if the <br />PARTICIPANT is not placed in a VTR program after fourteen (14) <br />calendar days of the referral. <br />6.1.5 Provide VTR programs to PARTICIPANTS in areas identified as growth <br />oriented, current or emerging occupations, meeting an unmet community <br />need, and in high demand for new employees. <br />6.1.6 Utilize accredited vocational training providers that are approved by <br />WIOA, listed in CalJOBS. <br />6.1.7 Collaborate with PARTICIPANTS and vocational program coordinator to <br />develop comprehensive training plans with specific and measurable <br />vocational goals. <br />6.1.8 Assist PARTICIPANTS upon completion of the VTR program with their <br />job search including, but not limited to, resume preparation, referrals to <br />jobs that are listed by employers with Employment Development <br />Department’s (EDD) CalJOBS, local newspaper want ads, other career <br />resources, and/or opportunities developed by CONTRACTOR. <br />6.2 Work Experience (WEX) <br />CONTRACTOR shall: <br />6.2.1 Provide WEX placements that meet the required participation hours as <br />referred by ADMINISTRATOR within fourteen (14) calendar days of the <br />referral. WEX placements are anticipated to lead to unsubsidized <br />employment at the end of the PARTICIPANTS’ WEX assignments.
