WDM0522 Page 21 of 23 March 1, 2022 <br /> <br /> <br />other financial and accounting records. <br /> Reconcile accounts to general ledgers and prepare routing reports <br />and statements. <br /> Analyze and prepare reports of encumbrances and expenditures <br />for department programs. <br /> Perform cost research and cost recovery analysis. <br /> Receive money and maintain records of receipts, files of invoices <br />and other financial transaction documents. <br />Qualifications: <br /> A minimum of two (2) years of experience performing <br />responsible accounting, financial, statistical or other specialized <br />office clerical work supplemented by courses in accounting, <br />finance, business, office practices, or related coursework; or a <br />combination of two (2) years of training and experience, or <br />courses in accounting, finance, business and office practices <br />which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities in accounting <br />methods and government budgeting. <br /> Knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices, fund <br />accounting and governmental accounting methods. <br /> Ability to keep bookkeeping accounts and prepare financial <br />statements and make arithmetic calculations. <br />13.5.4 Account Clerk I <br />Duties: <br /> Perform a variety of routine clerical work involved in receiving, <br />distributing and maintaining financial and statistical records, <br />receiving and disbursing cash. <br /> Gather, assemble, tabulate, check, and post financial and <br />statistical data. <br /> Maintain simple accounts, post entries from supporting <br />documents and records, including verifications of invoices with <br />supporting documents.
