ArEsco <br />AESCO Proposal No. P6513 <br />Statement of Qualifications <br />Broadcom Headquarters -Irvine <br />Inspector: Mr. Chamaa was the Inspector for the quality control inspections for the two bridge <br />structures during the first phase of construction of the Broadcom headquarters in Irvine. One bridge <br />on the north side has two lanes, two sidewalks and planters and is for access to the new structures. <br />This bridge is approximately 180 feet by 90 feet in plan dimension. The second bridge consisted of a <br />pedestrian plaza with a fire lane access and is approximately 450 feet by 150 feet in plan dimension. <br />Marine Way has been extended beneath the bridge allowing access to the Great Park in Irvine. <br />Materials testing and inspections consisted of reinforcing steel and concrete for footings, columns, <br />retaining walls, bridge deck, approach slabs, wing walls, Caltrans barrier rails, and Caltrans <br />sidewalks. Pile caps, post -tensioning for the foundations and slabs were also inspected as well as <br />the electrical layouts, falsework for the bridge deck and concrete forms. <br />Olinda Landfill -Gas to Energy Facilities-Yorba Linda <br />Field Engineer and Inspector: Mr. Chamaa was the Field Engineer and Inspector for construction <br />materials testing and inspection services during construction of the gas to energy facilities at the <br />Brea-Olinda landfill. The facilities included the installation of gas turbines mounted on concrete <br />slabs, a combustion turbine generator, chilled water systems, polishing systems, compressed air <br />systems, a step-up transformer, switch gears, auxillary transformers, a main building and control <br />room, trenching and piping, and miscellaneous structures. New access roads were also constructed. <br />Sand Canyon Grade Separation -Irvine <br />Inspector: Mr. Chamaa was the Inspector for the materials testing and inspections for the Sand <br />Canyon Grade Separation project at the 5 Freeway in Irvine. The project includes the construction <br />of a rail underpass, retaining walls, railroad relocation, storm drains, utility relocations, Sand Canyon <br />Avenue relocation, and a new pump station. Third parties involved in the project include the City of <br />Irvine, the Southern California Regional Rail Authority, Caltrans, and the Irvine Ranch Water District. <br />Newland Street Widening — City of Huntington Beach and County of Orange <br />Inspector: Mr. Chamaa was the Inspector for the construction materials testing and inspection for <br />the widening of the reinforced concrete bridge at Huntington Channel. Newland Street was <br />widened from 20 to 40 feet to 44 feet to 48 feet in width. The testing and inspection serviced <br />included a review of the concrete mix designs, concrete testing and inspection, rebar inspection, <br />aggregate testing, subgrade testing and inspection, base material evaluation and testing, asphalt <br />batch plant inspection, and asphaltic concrete testing. An investigation of an existing sink hole was <br />also performed. Coring of the existing asphalt was performed to determine the thickness of the <br />existing asphalt. <br />Roadway Improvements -Nichols Avenue — City of Huntington Beach <br />Field Engineer: Mr. Chamaa was the Field Engineer for the geotechnical recommendations for the <br />Nichols Lane in an area which included heavy trash truck traffic to provide pavement and subgrade <br />recommendations for rehabilitation of the existing pavement.
