CityAttorney's Office <br />Highlights thincluding Respondedto1266requestsforlegalservice (as of April 30 ) ncluding preparation <br />of agreements, ordinances, resolutions, and general legal advice. Initiated <br />nuisance abatement litigation against several local motels and commercial <br />property owners resulting in settlements improving the conditions <br />of the surrounding neighborhoods. Defended <br />in-house 57 litigation matters brought against the City and its employees <br />and managed additional litigation assigned to outside counsel. Obtained <br />several administrative abatement warrants to clean up weed and rubbish <br />conditions and other nuisance conditions on certain private properties. <br />Participated <br />in the City CARES Act task force to distribute funding for COVID- 19 <br />relief measures. Continued <br />support for all City departments regarding the ongoing local emergency <br />due to COVID-19. 20
