<br />CARES for Landlords <br />•Program began August 17th and ended December 15th, 2020. <br />•When it was operational, the CARES for Landlords Program helped pay <br />the entire past‐due rent that was owed from tenants who had been <br />financially impacted by COVID‐19 dating back to April 1, 2020. <br />•Any authorized landlord with a rental unit in Santa Ana was eligible to <br />apply with no income eligibility requirements. The Program paid 80% of <br />the rental arrears due to landlords, provided that they forgave the <br />remaining 20% of the total arrears. <br />•Landlords who participated also agreed not to increase rent for the unit <br />for the next 6 months; not assess late fees for the past due rent paid by <br />the program; and not to evict for 6 months from the date of the Grant <br />Agreement. <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY 520 CIVIC CENTER PLAZA, SANTA ANA, CA 92702
