NS-XXXX <br />MEASURE" " <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AFFIRMING ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE NO. <br />NS-3027 AMENDING ARTICLE X OF CHAPTER 8 OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE AND CREATING A NEW <br />ARTICLE XIX IN CHAPTER 8 OF THE SANTA ANA <br />MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO THE RENT <br />STABILIZATION AND JUST CAUSE EVICTION <br />ORDINANCES <br />THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The People of the City of Santa Ana herby affirm adoption of <br />Ordinance No. NS-3027 and Article XIX of Chapter 8 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br />shall read as follows: <br />/_1:i�[y��://:�:»�����_1:31�r�_��[�7►I_1►1�111�����1_��Ly���I[��[�7►[�7:1�71►/_1►[y� <br />DIVISION 1. — GENERALLY <br />Section 8-3100 — Title <br />This Article shall be known in its entirety as the "City of Santa Ana Rent <br />Stabilization and Just Cause Eviction Ordinance" and, for the sake of convenience, as <br />the "Rent Stabilization and Just Cause Eviction Ordinance." <br />Section 8-3101 — Background <br />The Rent Stabilization Ordinance, previously adopted by the City Council on <br />October 19, 2021, and the Just Cause Eviction Ordinance, also previously adopted by <br />the City Council on October 19, 2021, are hereby amended pursuant to this newly <br />adopted Rent Stabilization and Just Cause Eviction Ordinance. <br />Section 8-3102 — Definitions <br />a) For purposes of this Article, the words and phrases shall be defined as set <br />forth herein, unless the context clearly indicates a different meaning is intended. <br />b) Words and phrases used in this Article, which are not specifically defined, <br />shall be construed according to their context and the customary usage of the language. <br />c) Words and phrases defined: <br />City Council 16 — 73 10/3/2023 <br />
