She excels at program <br />design and implementation, impact measurement and outcomes, <br />compliance oversight, budget development and adherence, <br />and building strong relationships, Karen's expertise includes <br />administering and overseeing construction contracts and change <br />orders, drafting designs, hiring subcontractors, pulling permits, <br />meeting with city planning/design review/historic preservation <br />on variance requests, meeting with building inspectors and <br />supervising corrections as needed —all while maintaining budgets <br />and schedules. <br />d. UNDERSTANDING OF NEED/ <br />SCHEDULE OF DELIVERY <br />Ardurra understands that the City of Santa Ana is seeking <br />professional construction management and inspection services <br />to support the City in the timely and cost-efficient delivery of <br />a variety of projects, reporting directly to the City's authorized <br />representative. This contract is an initial three-year term with <br />City option for two, one-year extension periods. According to the <br />RFP, as -needed construction management efforts may include <br />pre -construction tasks, managing construction so that the work <br />complies with the contract documents, and supporting project <br />closeout and the commissioning phase. Work will conform to <br />requirements presented in the State's Construction Manual and <br />the LAPM, as well as OCFCD encroachment permit and other <br />agencies' regulatory permits. Types of projects may include street <br />rehabilitation; sewer improvements; storm drain improvements; <br />bridge construction; new building construction; water service <br />and pipelines; pump and motor improvements; irrigation and <br />landscaping; site improvements; concrete sidewalk; system <br />controls and instrumentation; streets and park lighting; parks and <br />recreation facility improvements; mechanical system; electrical <br />system; and traffic signal improvements. <br />Ardurra has experience with these types of projects and with <br />various funding sources —from the local, state and federal <br />levels. Below is our approach to critical <br />elements of CM and inspection —delivering success through each <br />phase of the project. <br />Contracts for Public Works Inspection: For contracts involving <br />public works inspection services, Ardurra requires the awarding <br />public agency to complete DIR form PWC-100 solely for Ardurra <br />Group, Inc. as the Prime Contractor specific to the awarded <br />contract name and amount. <br />Community Workforce Agreement (CWA) Compliance: Ardurra <br />understands that should the City require the consultant to utilize <br />resources through the CWA for its inspection services needs, the <br />consultant will be reimbursed for any resulting costs associated <br />with its compliance with the CWA. <br />CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES <br />Safety. First and foremost, Ardurra always considers safety the <br />most important issue on any construction project. Ardurra managers <br />and inspectors are at a minimum 10-hour OSHA -certified. Our team <br />will recommend key safety provisions to require the contractor to <br />have competent safety personnel and site -specific safety programs <br />employed on the project at all times and will monitor the contractor's <br />operations for compliance with the project safety requirements and <br />requisite provisions of state and federal law. <br />Public Relations, The Ardurra team is empathetic to the motorists, <br />pedestrians, cyclists, residents, and businesses that are affected <br />by construction operations, and we will take a lead role to address <br />public relations concerns. All inquiries and issues will be listened <br />to and documented with accurate contact information for prompt <br />follow-up.
