CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />b. Assessing youth and their families to prescribe/refer to services; <br />c. Performing case management services for at -risk youth that will remove <br />barriers to the successful achievement of independent living skills, attainment <br />of employment skills, and greater self-determination; <br />Supportive Services are defined as services provided for the purpose of addressing <br />the tenants' condition of homelessness and enhancing the tenants' ability to maintain <br />independent living. Supportive services must address the special needs of the tenants to be <br />served. Typical services may include, but are not limited to: <br />a. Mental healthcare; <br />b. Trauma -Informed care <br />c. Advocacy and resource support and assistance such as <br />I. Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), <br />ii. General Assistance, <br />iii. Cal Fresh, <br />iv. Money management/payee services; <br />v. Nutritional counseling; and <br />vi. Assistance in obtaining other resources and support for at -risk youth <br />and their families such as clothing, and transportation, job training <br />and job placement. <br />These services must be be provided directly or by arrangement with other service providers. <br />D. Eligible Uses and Activities <br />Program funds can be used to enter into an Agreement with eligible organizations that will provide <br />the requested services. <br />E. Compliance with Federal and Local Regulations <br />All projects must comply with all applicable federal requirements contained in Exhibit III and 24 <br />CFR 982, including, but not limited to, environmental review, labor and wage requirements, <br />debarred contractors, lead -based paint and equal opportunity. Awardees should note: <br />Contract Requirements: All work shall be completed by licensed contractors <br />Labor Standards: Contracts over $10,000 must comply with Equal Opportunity -Affirmative <br />Action requirements. All efforts shall be made to provide equal opportunity for employment without <br />discrimination as to race, marital status, sex, color, age, religion, national origin or ancestry, and <br />to seek out qualified local tradespeople for contracting and subcontracting bids. <br />Accessibility: All projects must comply with the federal Section 504 Disabled Accessibility <br />regulations contained in Sections 8.22 and 8.23 of Subpart C, 24 CFR Part 8. <br />F. Emplovement Opportunities to Santa Ana Residents <br />Vendor(s) shall solicit and advertise employment opportunities to Santa Ana residents. The City <br />shall inform the Vendor(s) of areas to publicize recruitment opportunities, such as the Santa Ana <br />WORK Center and community centers.
