Araiza, Fatima
From:Samir Mohamedy <samir@upliftcharity.org>
Sent:Tuesday, December 19, 2023 1:59 PM
To:eComment
Subject:Stop the Violence Against Palestinians NOW!
E-comment ,
It is with frustration and anger that I express my disappointment in the recent, pathetic
decision to vote against this crucial resolution to stop the inhumane terrorism against the
Palestinian People. We demand a Ceasefire, NOW! I am writing to you as a concerned
member of the community to demand your support. Make better decisions starting today.
Land on the right side of history. Not as a sold-out politician.
Our tax dollars that should be helping our local communities are instead funding Israel to
continue murdering and terrorizing Palestinians.
The situation in Gaza demands our immediate attention and action. People are starving to
death, being sniped by Israeli soldiers on the street, bulldozed and medical patients being
buried alive!
Santa Ana, as a city that has always been at the forefront of social justice, it is imperative that
the council take a stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people and call for an end to the
senseless bloodshed.
The decision to reject the ceasefire resolution is not just a political matter; it is a moral
imperative. We cannot turn a blind eye to the suffering of the Palestinian people, nor can we
allow political rhetoric to overshadow the urgent need for peace and justice. It is our collective
responsibility to ensure that Santa Ana city does not condone or support any form of violence
or oppression, especially when communities here risk attacks and hate crimes for supporting
Palestine.
I implore you to reconsider your position and agendize to vote in favor of a resolution calling
for a permanent ceasefire and an end to the genocide and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian
people in Gaza. By doing so, Santa Ana will reaffirm its commitment to upholding the
principles of humanity, justice, and peace.
1
