Dear Santa Ana Planning Committee, <br />My name is Kimberly Cortez, I am a staff member.at Vista Global Academy. I live in <br />Ward 5. Here are a few reasons why I feel like Vista will benefit from this expansion. Having <br />Vista Charter Public School district offices so close to our school will make sure if we have any <br />ideas or district meetings we will be able to have access to these offices faster and more <br />efficiently. Vista as a whole has done so many wonderful things for the community like food <br />drives every Friday, as well as toy drives and dental services far the kids. Students will be able <br />to use the enclosed green space safely and it will keep kids safe from cars and strangers. I as a <br />Teaching Assistant know that sometimes kids just need a breather just as much as us adults do <br />so having this green space to step outside and get some fresh air and Vitamin D from the sun <br />would really benefit students. Aside from these wonderful improvements to the school also <br />adding a community garden will make the space much nicer and make a pretty run down area <br />more attractive and modern. Apart from adding a new green space there will also be a new <br />blacktop area that will encourage kids to join sports. The black top will also be used as our area <br />for parent pick up and drop off which will make it safer for students to be picked up and dropped <br />off at school. The safety and well being of our students is number one priority.
