Exhibit A <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />EXHIBIT I <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />This section establishes overall daily contract requirements that the Contractor shall perform unless <br />otherwise specified in later sections. Other specifications given per section are to be utilized as <br />unexpected situations arise and clarification of service is required. It is the Contractor's obligation to <br />fully understand the Intergrated Pest Management (IPM) & Pest Control Services. <br />Additionally, for all mulch and compost needs that may be necessary for IPM and Pest Control <br />Services, the City's Refuse Contractor Republic Services shall provide freee mulch and compost for <br />all City projects. For all other mulch and compost that requires the Contractor to procure, the the <br />Contractor shall: <br />Use Compost and Senate Bill (SB) 1383 Eligible Mulch produced from recovered <br />Organic Waste for all landscaping maintenance, renovations, or construction, as <br />practicable, whenever available, and capable of meeting quality standards and <br />criteria specified. SB 1383 Eligible Mulch used for land application must meet or <br />exceed the physical contamination, maximum metal concentration and pathogen <br />density standards specified in 14 CCR Section 17852(a)(24.5)(A)(1) through (3). <br />Keep and provide records of Procurement of Recovered Organic Waste Products <br />(either through purchase or acquisition) to the City's Solid Waste Enterprise annually <br />upon request. Information to be provided shall include: <br />a. General description of how and where the product was used and applied; <br />b. Source of product, including name, physical location, and contact <br />information for each entity, operation, or facility from whom the Recovered <br />Organic Waste Products were procured; <br />c. Quantity and type of each product; and <br />d. Invoice or other record demonstrating purchase or procurement <br />I. Description of Work <br />ROUTINE MAINTENANCE <br />The City of Santa Ana, Park Services Division embraces and promotes sustainable site design <br />and management principles and best management practices where feasible. The use of <br />Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and organic pesticides, in lieu of traditional synthetic <br />pesticides, are encouraged and, in cases listed herein, required as a part of this agreement. <br />The Contractor, as part of our site management subject expert, shall play an important role <br />toward recommending, using and collecting data concerning the use of IPM and organic <br />pesticide products as specified herein. <br />The Contractor shall assign the appropriate number of staff at the appropriate skill level and <br />rank in their organization, to continuously improve the quality of Santa Ana Parks and Facilities. <br />The Contractor understands and agrees by entering into the agreement with the City of Santa <br />Ana Park Services Director's Representative (DR) shall be the sole source of interpreting the <br />RFP 23-151 City of Santa Ana Page 20 of 99 <br />
