As a member
of the Santa Ana community, I believe it is crucial to voice apprehensions about measures that may impede fundamental
rights and marginalize certain groups within our city.
The proposed ordinance threatens our freedom of speech and appears to target specific communities, such as
Palestinian constituents and their allies. This biased treatment contradicts the values of inclusivity and democracy we
strive to uphold.
Moreover, the actions of Mayor Amezcua and Congressman Correa raise further concerns about their commitment to free
speech and accountability to constituents.
I urge you to carefully consider the implications of this ordinance and its potential impact on the rights of Santa Ana
residents.
From the Lawyers Collective Santa Ana
